The Sexual Violence PreventionLeadership Program (SVPL) seeks to help undergraduate student organizations understand their role in preventing violence. This program meets 90 minutes a week for six weeks and is intended to provide student leaders with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to identify and address rape-supportive norms, attitudes, and behaviors and mobilize social change in regards to sexual violence within their communities.
Undergraduate student organizations interested in building their resume, seeking to become leaders in public health, social justice, or human services, or simply wanting to engage in the movement to create a community of care, can register below. Students will be provided with a certificate upon completion of all six weeks of the program.
Sessions are open to undergraduate student organizations based at ASU Downtown Phoenix, Polytechnic, Tempe, or West. We can work with organizations to accommodate their schedule by providing multiple sessions per week. We are also able to host sessions on the campus that works best for the organization, or over Zoom.
The deadline to register is two weeks prior to the desired start of the session. While there will be make-ups available for those who miss one of the weekly sessions, please do not register for the program if you know you will be unable to attend more than one session.
