The Sexual Violence Prevention Leadership Program (SVPL) seeks to help emerging, undergraduate leaders understand their role in preventing violence. This program meets 90 minutes a week for six weeks and is intended to provide student leaders with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to identify and address rape-supportive norms, attitudes, and behaviors and mobilize social change in regards to sexual violence within their communities.
Undergraduate students interested in building their resume, seeking to become leaders in public health, social justice, or human services, or simply wanting to engage in the movement to create a community of care can register below. Students will be provided with a certificate upon completion of all six weeks of the program.
Spring 2025 dates and locations coming soon.
Sessions are open to undergraduate students attending classes at ASU Downtown Phoenix, Polytechnic, Tempe, or West. There are multiple options to engage in the program, and students are welcome to select a session that best resonates with their identity, values, or organizational affiliation. Those who attend ASU Online, as well as ASU students who attend classes or live outside of the Phoenix area, can participate in the program by registering for the ASU Online cohort. ASU Online students will be unable to attend in-person cohorts. Students who attend classes at ASU @ Lake Havasu or at one of the ASU Local locations are welcome to register for the ASU Online cohort only.
The deadline to register is two days prior to the start of the session. While there will be make-ups available for those who miss one of the weekly sessions, please do not register for the program if you know you will be unable to attend more than one session.
